Eugene Barisano

As a lifelong resident of New Jersey, Eugene (Gene) has spent over 20 years working with people in the retail and customer service industry. For the last 15 years, he has been working for a major telecommunications company doing everything from customer service to sales to technical support. Eugene attended William Paterson University and earned his Bachelor of Arts in History. After several years of working in the retail industry, Eugene pursued an MBA in Business Management.    
 
While pursuing his degree, Eugene spent countless hours volunteering at numerous skilled nursing facilities in the area. He relished his time helping and assisting seniors with normal daily activities and providing company for them. Eugene helped organize social events and helped run bingo and other games each week for the residents. After spending the last two decades helping others, he saw Senior Care Authority as the perfect fit to help families and making a real difference in peoples' lives. Eugene has cared for his parents and grandparents and understands first hand the difficulties and challenges that aging adults and their families face. 
 
Eugene is a big fan of sports and music. In his spare time, he likes to attend sporting events, concerts, and music festivals. Eugene loves nature and the great outdoors, and enjoys going for walks, hiking, and camping.

SENIOR CARE AUTHORITY COMPANY HISTORY

Senior Care Authority was founded in 2009 by Frank and Michele Samson of Sonoma, California. They opened a local placement agency and learned everything there was to know about finding the right care situation for an older adult needing help with activities of daily living. They came to the Senior Care space with successful business development skills in their past as well as personal family experience finding care solutions. The business took off, primarily due to their diligence, compassion, and commitment to helping families.

​In 2014, the model was franchised and Senior Care Authority is now a national company with offices throughout the US and Canada. As part of their expansion, they partnered with an eldercare consulting practice who brought another set of senior care services and skills to the company, a great differentiator for Senior Care Authority.
